7:00pm to 8:00pm

Calvary Baptist Church
1422 Washington Ave.
Alton, IL 62002
(618) 462-8816

National Police Day Memorial

*Please note that the location of this event has changed to Calvary Baptist Church in Alton.

Set aside some time as representatives from local law enforcement in remembering those that have fallen in the line of duty.

Law Enforcement Honor Guards representing Alton Police Department, Madison County Sheriff's Office and Illinois State Police will join together to bring remembrance to our Fallen.

The evening’s keynote speaker will be Sarah Deatherage Steele. Every day, Sarah continues to survive the sudden loss of her late husband, Illinois State Police Motor Officer Kyle Deatherage. Kyle was killed by a Scott’s Law, or “Move Over” law, violator while conducting a traffic stop in 2012. Sarah has since been an advocate for Scott’s Law and has been creating awareness through several different media platforms.

Sarah, a dental hygienist by trade, has refocused her time and energy since her loss into creating Comforting Keepsakes. Her small business focuses on providing comfort and guidance to grieving hearts, while giving back to families of first responders killed on the job. Visit the Video Tab for a preview of this new ministry.

Sarah resides in Marine, IL with her husband, AJ, and 3 children, Kaylee, Camden, Mia and their new puppy Lucky.

The entire area is invited to attend.
