Alton and the Meeting of the Great rivers is preparing for its Second Annual Craft Beer Week April 22 - 29. As we put the finishing touches on a great eight day event, check out some great ways to sample local craft beers!
As we march into spring what pairs great with longer days and warmer weather? Drinking a cold beer on a bright and sunny patio! Here are some of the best brews to enjoy this spring, whether its day, night or anytime in between.
Old Bakery Beer Company, 400 Landmarks Boulevard, Alton, proudly produces a variety of organic craft beers prepared exclusively from American-made malts and hops. While some brews are seasonal, many are produced and poured year round. These year-round brews include:

Want to take their brews to your next backyard BBQ or on the go? Old Bakery Beer Company allows for customers to pack their favorite beverages in 4-packs of cans or in growlers!
The delicious and seasonal food menus, original and organic beer and events such as live music, trivia nights and parties make Old Bakery Beer Company a fun yet laidback space for the coolest cats in town.
If beer is the beverage you’re seeking, Elijah P’s, 401 Piasa St, Alton, will not disappoint. Their selection includes 60 beers on draft as well as bottled and canned beer, a whiskey menu of more than 100 selections and additional wine and spirits. The taps are changed often so there is always something new to try.
While the inside is remarkable, showcasing a glimpse of Alton’s history hanging on the walls and the impressive bar and dining room, the outside patio is what will draw some major attention this summer. The Lodge is located right out back and features patio games, beer buckets, live music and even BBQ.

Whether you love food, beer or both, 4204 Main St. Brewing Co.,180 E Center Dr, Alton, believes that pairing the two is an art worth sharing. The brewing company has won several awards for their beers, including Best Oktoberfest, 2015 United States Open Beer Championship and 2016 Bronze Medals from Tastings.com.
