Solar Eclipse Viewing Party at Lewis & Clark Community College

Join us for a Solar Eclipse Viewing Party from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., Monday, Aug. 21 (also the first day of the fall semester) in Fountain Court!

We'll have free food, fun and games, as well as complimentary solar eclipse viewing glasses (while supplies last), but most importantly - a great place to view this once in a lifetime event with students, faculty, staff and members of the community.

Because we are located just outside of the "line of totality," viewers on campus will see the "diamond ring effect" as the moon passes by the sun. It will be a sight to behold! Don't miss it!

This event is being held in conjunction with our eclipse-themed 2017 Summer Garden show, Solar Flair. Show up early to take a FREE self-guided tour of the 10 themed pocket gardens and 14 bronze sculptures that make up L&C's Monticello Sculpture Gardens. Guided tours are available upon request. Learn more at www.lc.edu/solarflair and www.lc.edu/gardens.

Oh, and here's all the info you need to make sure your viewing experience is safe and enjoyable! https://eclipse2017.nasa.gov/eclipse-who-what-where-when-and-how
